 The iLok smart key is a proprietary USB dongle that holds licenses for software protected with InterLok. The iLok allows you to carry multiple licenses on a portable device. The iLok is cross platform and in conjunction with the iLok.com web site offers many benefits to users. The iLok.com web site allows you to register your iLoks and manage your iLok licenses from any internet enabled computer. Optional Zero Downtime coverage ensures you are never without access to your product. You may also receive additional licenses via the iLok.com web site.

Here's how it works
 Once a license is delivered to an iLok.com account, you simply download the license to your iLok. The license is stored safely and securely inside the solid-state iLok smart key and can then be used to provide the authorization for protected software to run on any computer where that software is installed. Licenses may be delivered to your iLok.com account by the software supplier. The iLok smart key enables you to carry all of your licenses with you wherever they go, storing all of their licenses on a single key instead of on a computer. No more lost authorization due to computer problems. The iLok is portable, convenient and simple to use, providing robust security with the ultimate in portability.
